A collection is more than a sequence of names

A real collection has a story: acquisitions, losses, photos, notes, dates, prices, provenance. When all of that is scattered, part of that memory always ends up getting lost.

🌱
Your current plants
Keep a clear view of what you actually own, with quantities, photos, and useful notes.
💀
Your lost plants
With the Oops list, you do not lose the history of plants that failed, disappeared, or were lost over time.
🏷️
The origin of each plant
See when you bought a plant, how much you paid for it, and which seller or grower it came from.
Your grow list is not just a simple reminder
It is the living memory of your collection. The more it grows, the more useful it becomes to preserve its history in a structured, durable, usable space.

Importing your list is extremely simple
You can start from a simple plain text file, with the plant names written one below the other. FleyeTrap then tries to recognize the names and match them with the site reference database.
In many cases, one plant per line is enough to get started quickly and avoid retyping your whole collection by hand.

What FleyeTrap helps you preserve

📷
Photos and notes
Attach photos and personal notes to your plants to document their evolution and keep reliable references.
📅
Dates, prices, and seller
Keep the purchase date, price paid, and origin of each plant so you do not lose the memory of your acquisitions.
🔢
Actual quantities
Track how many specimens you really own for each plant instead of relying on approximate memory.

What FleyeTrap makes easier

🌿
Standardized names
Plants added to your list follow the site’s official nomenclature, with consistent and normalized names.
🧠
Fewer duplicates
You avoid duplicates created by different spellings or approximate plant names.
📥
Automatic import
Import text files, office documents, Excel files, and many other formats to avoid retyping everything by hand.

Why this becomes important as a collection grows

1
Because a collection of a few plants quickly becomes a set of purchases, losses, clones, photos, and information that is hard to recover.
2
Because a notebook, an isolated spreadsheet, or scattered notes often end up erasing part of the real history of the collection.
3
Because a well-tracked collection is clearer, more coherent, better documented, and more faithful to your growing journey.
